The Organisers of the Bristol Gang Show are considering a range of possible alternative venues for a Bristol Gang Show in 2008.

We thank the people of Bristol for their support for the Bristol Gang Show.

It is with regret that we confirm that due to reasons outside our control, there will be no Bristol Gang Show at the Bristol Hippodrome in 2008.

The Bristol Gang Show has since 1971 offered a quality show for the people of Bristol, as well as providing fun, challenge and adventure for the many hundreds of children who have been members of the cast over the years.

It is regrettable that the Bristol Hippodrome has cancelled our booking. The Bristol Hippodrome have raised 'safety matters' as the reason for cancelling our show this year. We have requested further information on these safety issues so that they can be addressed, but the Bristol Hippodrome has been unable to provide us with details of their concerns.

We are in discussion with LiveNation regarding a date for our show in 2009.

We know that many will be disappointed that there will be no Gang Show at the Bristol Hippodrome this year. We are working on a series of plans to offer alternative events for the young people that would have been in this years cast.

We will be taking the opportunity of our 'year off' to help develop even greater plans for our 2009 show.

The cancellation of the 2008 show has generated a lot of media interest, and we thank the public for the support that they have shown for the Bristol Gang Show, and for Scouting in general.
